Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
Detoxing and withdrawing off drugs is not easy and its not fun, just talking to a familiar voice can be enough to make some addicts say, "screw it i'm going back to my life, this is too hard", I'm sure you don't want that.
You should take this time to reflect on your relationship and think about your own feelings and think about if this is still the right thing for you. He won't come out of Rehab all fixed for life, he'll have a constant battle to stay sober, and if y'alls relationship is not one that "should be" it's not one that he should be in, if he wants to stay sober.
this started?
Right now, he's not out going on with his life and looking for the perfect mate, not if he's in Rehab, the people you meet there aren't generally the ones you make life long friends out of. They're people going through the same battle as you just trying to make it to the other side.
If you want your husband to be a good dad and husband, then he needs to be sober. Do you want your kids to have a drug addict for a dad? As a mom, I'm sure you don't. You can only deal with so many things at a time. Get through one, then go to the next. Right now it's hard, because you have to do everything, but hopefully the payoff is you get your husband back soon, sober and a better dad and husband....
Then you go on to the next thing...but yeah, it's unfair and it sucks and I'm sorry that you have to go through this with your kids.
