I don't quite love my life yet, but i'm taking baby steps to get there.

Quit drinking, lost 60 lbs and got my life back - and added two cats and a puppy to my household!

Actually, I've accomplished nothing.

Same here I can be myself again. I can come and go as I please no stress. I also bought a new Toyota Corrolla S.

Need to reflect on this answer more.

(1) went from a house to a home (living alone in my apt);
(2) went from owning a business to finding a job;
(3) started attending mass again;
(4) traded in mommy van and bought a sexy, single girl sports car;
(5) went from being a fat pig to losing 60+ lbs and working out 2 hrs day;
(6) went from being married to a pig to being able to pick and choose who I spend my precious time with;

Thank you cheater/liar/narcissist for helping me see you were holding me back from being my true authentic self - and VERY HAPPY

I've learned how to fix toilets, use a wet/dry vac, put air in my car tires, I've bought a bow saw and learned how to chop up limbs that fall from trees....does this count? Lol. My biggest accomplishment has been a year of raising three kids with very little help, even less than during our marriage. I pat myself on the back for that every day. They are great kids and i have raised them pretty much alone. I have also kept the pets alive. I have done some lame modeling jobs he would have frowned on and had a lot of fun doing them. I like LAC's idea of trading in the mommy van for a sexier car. that is on my list of first things to do post-settlement. I have a lot of plans for myself and i'm starting to get determined. :)

I kind of feel the same as rman....I feel like I haven't accomplished anything?!?

I have held two jobs both of which I loved, maintained a home half as long as my marriage, raised one child and almost finished raising the second. I fought demons and won. I am forever changed and thanful for the life I do have. There will always be demons ready to attack but I found I am much stronger than I ever knew. I learned to pick my friends carefully. I learned it's not wrong to trust but it is wrong to abuse someone's trust. I learned it's better to have loved and lost than never love at all.

I honestly never let him get in the way of anything in the first place. Go me!
