Won't last.....
My H started talking to his gf on facebook. She was his gf 30 yrs ago. We have been married 33 in a few months. Yes. You calculated that right. He didn't sleep wtih her back then (a fact that i know) so I stayed with him.
He has, since talking to her on FB kicked me out, moved her in, and doesn't support me.
Yep. It does re-kindle. How long it lasts. Some last a long time. Some realize what kind of idiots they are and it doesn't last.
He was too chicken crap to tell me. His child hood friends called and told me that 'i' was getting a divorce. Yep. I can go on all day.
They think they've missed out on something? They think it will be all 'good' . Hmm.. No telling.
I know what is reeling out of control through your mind. Conctant thoughts of her, what she has that you do not have.
After the first affair (that I learned of-i am sure there are many more) I had my reasons for trying to work on it.
My regret is that I allowed that woman, thoughts of her to exist in my mind for far too long. Years really.
I am strongly encouraging you to cast out the obsession, thoughts of whether the relationship will or won't work and place sole focus on you- YOUR healing, YOUR recovery.
No good comes from this obsession. I know because I have been there.
Therapy. Read books on surviving infidelity. Prayer. Meditation. All about YOU!
((((HUGS))))
Don't give him another though - work on you and your growth. Your worth it - he's not. Who cares if it lasts or not. Shouldn't have any impact on you. It's not a reflection on you in any way. Although, it most likely won'tlast.
Move forward and try not to look back.
I think it's time for you to speak to an attorney. Hanging in limbo does nothing for you and keep you from accepting what has happened and moving on.
Hugs!
It's odd how things in life work out.
I pray for you.
