I refuse to beleive that one single individual could be so powerful. Is there reliable evidence?

Seems to me that a group could be more powerful than an individual, if said group was smart? I am not getting this. Every night, I come home from work, sign in here, and see drama that is just not helpful. I wish I could understand it better. But maybe better to not. Shit, I don't even know why I am posting here tonight. Other than I am developing a fear that I may have to give up my beloved DS. I suppose there comes a time to do that, but I am a slow leaver, I don't really want to go quite yet.
