I pawned mine when I was really broke. Cried when I did because knew I would never be able to afford to get them back. I honestly feel better without that one reminder.

I was so upset that I gave mine away.... even though we are trying to slowly work things out I still don't regret it...it gave me some power cause it was my decision.

Pawn shops seem to pay lower then something like Craigs List?

Mine wasn't really worth much. I keep it in a box for later. Maybe some day I'll get it reworked or give it to my kids. I'm not sure. I told myself if I still want to throw it away in a year, I'll do so.

Well don't make any decision when you are hurting. What I have done I put it in the locker, so I don't need to see it, you never know when you need it.

I am wondering, when I am on the otherside, when I have no emotional attachement with it, I will resize and wear in my other finger.

My STBX threw ours down a storm sewer. I would probably have pawned them after awhile.

I will keep mine, I never wear it or see it. But the rings remind me of the good times while my present pain only remembers the worst of the end.

Don't wear it, hide it somewhere. Not only you will forget about wearing it, you might forget where exactly it is.

The gold weight in a wedding ring isn't worth much. You'll get very little for it at a pawn shop.

I gave mine back to him and told him to give it to one of his little ho's!!! He was devasted....hahahaha! Asked me how I could do that when I knew how much that ring meant to him! What a joke. Ya, I knew how much it WAS SUPPOSED TO MEAN. Unfortunately, he never did.

You could always take out the diamond, throw out the ring portion, and have it made into something for your daughter (if applicable) or future daughter in law.

My engagement ring strangely disappeared when I dropped it in the car while I was still married.
My wedding ring was a channel band with a row of diamonds. One of those chipped/ cameout and my ex refused to fix it. he could buy guns, small electronics and god knows what else, but not fix that ring...
anyway, one day after we'd been seperated for a few months, I chucked it into the river. Didn't plan it, it was just time for it to go.
it made the most satisfying little splash :)

I actually sold mine on Craigslist..and made a killing off of it. I used the money to help me move. I wanted the divorce and I was completely done with my exhusband. It was funny when he called and asked for the ring back..since he "got it for me". Yet we were paying for it together. I said "Sorry I sold it to some lady off Craigslist" he just about flipped. That was the best part!!!
