It's humorous now, but not so much before. I didn't have a cellphone; I had a landline, and I shared it with my college roommate.
So, meeting him on a Sunday cruising night at the civic center, he immediately invited me over to go to a local sports bar. I disclosed I was underage, and he didn't flinch; he wanted to take me out on a date the following day.
I was full-time in college and worked part-time over the weekends at my local grocery store. I must have told him I was free Friday night, after I got off work.
And since I had previously been asked to go on a date by someone else, I chose Dairy Queen, at the same location, just with someone better for me.
He was hungry, and I just wanted a large hot chocolate. That's where it all began for me... He had his Nokia cellphone, which he had just purchased. I felt and saw the red flags, and he knew it, but his efforts gave me strength. Little by little, he earned my trust.
Slowly, steadily, and rapidly, we developed a mature and appreciating love towards each other... Why do I mention this?
Well, it's ironic that a girl like me in college didn't care for coffee not one bit when I probably should have. But no, I only cared for hot chocolate.
I didn't even drink coffee during my high school years; that was a Jeff thing. He was a high school scholar boyfriend that my parents allowed me to have.
We chatted over the phone and just clicked. He was kind and sweet. But he broke my heart when he started talking to Margarita behind my back.
Anyway, he had to have his morning coffee before he picked me up to get to our high school. He smelled like coffee, his silver bullet smelled like coffee, and it didn't bother me. What bothered me was the cigarette smell. He was a smoker, but very careful around me.
So you see, all of a sudden, hot chocolate on a Friday night after work with someone who wanted to get to know me and be more than a friend to me didn't sound threatening to me after all. He didn't smoke, he didn't drink alcohol, he was on active duty... so where was the default? My thought process was gearing.
Anyway, here I am thinking about how I evolved from not drinking or caring for coffee into loving coffee after all we've been through. I've put coffee away as I realize, at my age, it's better to drink water anyway. We've known that water is essentially revitalizing.
Anyway, I'm on breakups and divorce because I started with a hot chocolate request and ended up marrying the guy who bought me my first Dairy Queen hot chocolate drink ever, to later drinking coffee together and a few tequila shots with some mixed drinks along the journey, and so now, I'm divorcing him. I believe I deserve my freedom back, because I'm not supposed to stay in an abusive relationship. I deserve my virgin piña colada!
Ehh, the IRONY of life. ONE thing we have in common, tho, and that is undeniable, is the fact that one can't live without water; therefore, we cannot live without each other since our bodies are composed of water.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
