so when my ex cheated she moved out, i got the house and when she left i told her i dont care what you take in the house, just out of the brand new couch and TV leave one of them, she took the TV, her BF is moving in with her and she wants the house back, but i cant take anything out of it, she wants it all now, i told her all i want is either the couch the refrigerator or the Dining room set thats it, she says no, she got all mad said fuck it you keep everything i will sue you for Half.
Now my question does anyone elses ex do dumb stuff like this and cause drama?
I even tried to explain to her mother, and all her mother kept saying is my daughter paid for half, and i kept repeating yes i know and I Paid the other half
i am just dumbfounded by the stupidity and the greed

Just thought I would join this group now that I am a widower. My wife passed away May 28th. She was "The Wind Beneath My Wings". When I met her, I was a drunken, dope smoking, fighting, hell raising biker. She told me if I could get rid of the inner storm within me, that I could be a blessing to people. God placed her in my path to stop me. I have been drug and alcohol free now for 53...

My husband and I got our foster license last month, after 3 years of hard work (we had to start over multiple times due to family dramas and Mom's open heart surgery). We spent a year preparing the whole house, guest rooms, and children's bathroom for older kids of 7 yr old and up. Then we got a call that we have been approved to receive twin newborn premies. What, what?!! Babies!? Premies?!...

You cant put a price on sanity. Stop dragging it out. Get a divorce lawyer. Take some power back. Get your half back. Its just stuff. Its not worth any more of your time or sanity.
As for your ex acting wacked out, yes, my ex has done some very dumb things (since we were divorced), and it has always had something to do with his relationship with a SO (usually when things are going great there). When he's not in a relationship, for whatever reason, he acts more appropriately, friendly towards me (and the kids), no idea why...not sure if that is the norm with others, but it is with him...
It will cut the drama and then give you a brand new start in life.
People like this often are not thinking too far out into the future. Last month, she was thinking, she wanted out. Now she is discovering that having her own place is expensive.
I had one friend who's ex wanted him to continue to support her and her new BF at her old married level lifestyle. She wanted the house, all the contents, and for her ex to pay all the bills while her BF moved in. Needless to say, this didn't go over well. She got some stuff but they had to sell the house and split the money. My friend did ok, but mainly he was glad to cut all ties to her after that. Several years later, the ex had spent all the money, wrecked the car, and was looking like she was pretty ragged.
I sought out a lawyer & in my agreement my STBX has to continue to pay the mortgage on our house during the year of our separation and allow myself & our daughter to continue residing here for that entire yr. when that year is up it is my choice to move out or remain as a renter. The household stuff was equally divided but being that he is an over road trucker w/o a residence per se, everything still remains in the house at this time.
If everyone was fair and reasonable and made sense, there would be no need to litigate over any divorce. People would just say sorry, split things evenly, and go on their way.
When we separated, I told her I would pay off the house and give it to her. I agreed to pay 50%of the accrued debts and a certain amount of child support. She refused. A year later, after the divorce was finalized. She paid off the house, 50% of other accrued debts and, less child support than I offered her a year prior. Lawyers are a necessary evil in situations like this. I wish you the best.
The material stuff is just that....stuff. I walked away from my home with my clothes, my son's belongings and called it a day. As long as I had my kid, everything else was replaceable.
