Im feeling reflective today...... A dear friend of mine was laid to rest in Arlington yesterday. My heart is with his wife and children, dear friends of mine...they were part of my own family.


My ex husband is currently fighting in the middle east....

And so is the man who still has my heart.

Its hitting close to home today...

Veteran, my Grandfather, 4 uncles, a host of cousins and many a stranger on the street. To look back over the history of this country, and to all that have bled for our freedoms, beliefs and sometimes even for our prosperity, every day should be Veterans day. So very many unsung heroes that do the job they chose to do, without reward, without many of the creature comforts we civilians would perish without, without questioning where, what or who. Those men and women who serve our armed forces in good times and bad, should always be revered for their sacrifice and service. May the fallen rest in peace, assured their legacy carries on today and each day hereafter by the ones who choose to follow in their footsteps.
