ugh...its all side stuff...all that matters are your little ones and your health...money doesn't care about you or stay up worrying about you so....don't let it drain your energy...getting enough sleep is so important...I promise your money troubles will still be there for you to think about in the morning ;) Cyber hug....hang in there

When I was at my lowest in my finances, the children would help me roll those pennies and our fingers would get dirty from the copper. We made an adventure out of everything....we would roll and see who would get the least dirtiest. Then, we would buy clam chowder and mix it with steamed rice...it made a thick meal and we would pretend it was steak and other things....finances suck but with a positive outlook, that too passes. We've never had to roll pennies again but, when the funds are low....it's automatic, my little warriors become immediately proactive in making the most out of less!

All the side stuff in life does not suck...not ALL...everything has a solution except for death....*shhhhhh* I am taking my own advice on that one.

I hear you brother, It takes me a melatonin and a couple of benedrils to even begin to get to sleep. I worry so much about where it is going to come from next. This Economy sucks so bad, I am watching my families 100 year old business go down the tubes and there is nothing more I can do about it..... just hang on and hope for the best.

My new rent is due today, my insurance is due today, I don't have but a couple hundred dollars in my checking, I am going to attempt to cash one of my payroll checks today, just enough to pay the rent, I will have to forgo the health insurance for now, I have a grace period on that.... food, we have Ramen noodles, soups, some bread cheese and butter, I can always make pancakes, and I do have some canned tomatoes, beans, onions, so I can make a meatless chili, that will hold us for awhile.

I hate this shit, two years ago I was making good money, I had a home, cars, pool, Economy hits, divorce hits, I loose it all. My shop in the top 500 out of 60,000 shops in the country, my store was in the top 50 in the state... I was on top, now not so much, I have large corporations that are taking 120+ days to pay there bill, I have a national hotel chain that has not paid there bill for 11 months now. I have cut off all credit, everything is cash on the barrel head now...

This economy sucks.... plus to go through a divorce and loose on that end too, not been a very good year for me... Got to stay strong for the kids though... stay strong Rman, you are not alone.

I got hit with taxes, homeowners insurance, renewal of my hairdressing license, and some medical bills all at once......oh and don't forget the nasty bill from the lawyer.
I can't afford to live.....and I can't afford to die!
I'm one of the few lucky ppl whom the ecomony hasn't hit too hard, and am fortunate enough to have no debt except my car.

I know what you are talking about. I just finished taking 5 courses in 5 months of my methods of teaching elementary/middle school subjects. I worked so hard during a very difficult time in my life. Now I'm held up by student teaching (which can be waived in some states if you teach for one year). But who will hire me? I've broadened my search to several states, I'm willing to move. I just paid half the rent money to my landlord, because I don't have enough to pay the whole thing. He works with me, thank goodness. My car won't pass inspection and I'm going to have to pay $220 for 25 feet of brake line - all 4 have to be re-done and I have a rust spot on the bottom of the vehicle that I have to figure out how to get taken care of. Don't have a man in my life to help me out with this. I don't make enough money to make ends meet and my ex is on vacation in Washington. He's on disability and barely making support payments.

GMAC is threatening to take my car today. I just got finished paying yet another attorney to try and get the damned divorce settled and asswipe (my ex) still sent me what HE thought he wanted to for maintenance instead of what I'm supposed to get! Frustrated?? You have NO idea.

I think i'm developing an ulcer from all the financial stress i am under. I just rented out the basement of my house for some extra income. But just as I did that and thought I could actually breathe a little, my ex takes the family allowance cheque from me. There's always something. Now today, the oil company came to fill up my oil tank for the first time since I've been floating the house alone. I don't know what THAT bill is but my friend that was there just texted me and said, "Oil was delivered... OUCH." I'm figuring at least $750.
The kids start school next week and I havent' bought one thing to get them ready. Geez.. don't know how i'm going to buy groceries to make their lunches, never mind buy clothes and school supplies... This sucks!
