I have been married for 18yrs. We have been trying to work on our marriage.I don't see any hope as things are not changing. There has been infidality on his part and the trust has gone.
We are separated at the moment and I am about to buy a home so I can get some space but Im a bit scared of being alone. I don't want to stay with him out of fear of being alone but its pretty scary. I have always lived with either family or partners. I will have my daughter part time but its those times when she's not with me im concerned about. Is this normal? I feel so weak even sayi g this but its been a reason ive stayed so long with him. My family are back in NZ and I cant leave here because my daughter needs stability and both parents.

What you are doing is really brave and strong. It's supposed to feel scary as its a massive change. It's completely normal to feel as you do, but I can relate as feel very much the same right now.
How old is your daughter? - mine is 12 so getting more independent which in itself is hard as she does not rely on me as much as when she was little.
GTry planning things in for when you are alone, and also spend some time alone to get used to it, and it will hopefully feel less daunting, Could you get a pet for company? Just a thought, I would be lost without my cats.
