I took my daughters Mother's Day shopping today. It was weird because I kept suggesting that we get her a bag of rocks...in my head...not to my daughters...
We got a card and five candles from Kohl's. We got an Orchid from a grocery store, called Safeway. We got a statue of two little girls hugging, from Hallmark. Went to other grocery store and got chocolate milk. Stopped at Chinese restaurant and got carry-out. Went to Subway to get a sub. Got gas...took Beano...

For what it's worth, I think it's really sweet of you to put your own feelings to the side, not involve your children in your divorce and take them shopping for their mother.....especially after what I just read in another post....It makes you father of the year right this moment!

Shows that your a great dad Rman. It may be hard to do, but your kids will appreciate you that much more.

I am glad my daughter is older. She asked me if I had gotten anything for he mom yet and I said no, was going to take them out today to get something. She asked if I could just give her 10$ to take her mom out for supper somewhere. So I gave her 40, 20 from each kid and they can personalize it more than I could.

I took my kids myself and got a cake from Dairy Queen. We've already eaten some of it.

That is really awesome that you can do all that for their mother despite all she put you through for your daughters. It shows how much you love your girls and what a good Daddy you are.
