When I argue, it's like being in a boxing match. I've been hit too many times in the past. I think I'm finally just tired from all the body blows. I don't feel like wasting the energy anymore. Does anyone else agree that arguing takes a toll on the body?

I likened the end of my marriage to Pearl Harbor. Just when I though the siege was over and I'd be okay, I'd get another bomb dropped on me and the devastation would just get worse and worse.

I guess maybe filing for divorce and taking the kids was my own personal Harry Truman A-bomb right back at ya'.

Talking to my STBX the last few months has been like talking to a brick wall. We never argued about anything except the other man and this stupid, selfish affair during the last six months. Absolutely nothing but that.

It never mattered how much or what I said, she simply refused to give up the f*cktard and I just can't forgive her for that.

Yes, arguing is terribly exhausting, specially when there is no positive outcome posible. When one (or both) people are being irrational, arguing won't go anywhere. Yet the rational person feels like you have to prove your point, so you continue to argue, but the irrational one will never see the point anyway. It's awful.

When i argued with the ex (and may still continue to do so) i feel so depleted and i dont ever "win". It makes you wonder why you even bother with some people. They might as well be left the f*ck alone.

hugs! I know people say never go to bed angry.. But I find that when I get really angry, it's better to walk away from it for awhile and let both parties cool down and think things over before continuing because usually when it' gets to the boiling point, nobody is listening anyway so you are fighting for nothing.

oh absolutely. that is why i learned to let go and Let God take care of it all for me. I do not have to fight anymore thank God....
