Its just your subconscious trying to catch up with the reality (that's my theory).

I dreamt the other day that my ex and I had decided to reconsile. I had moved back to my home city but we weren't living together.
Its almost a case of wishful thinking and when we relax, our minds release these happy thoughts.
I know the feelings when you wake up suck, and you get back to earth with a thump, but the more time you let go by, the more your subconscious catches up.

The entire concept of my marriage ever being happy is a dream in itself.

It's strange in the beginning I only dreamt of how badly I wanted to hurt him, for how badly he hurt me. Now as my divorce is about to be final I have been having real vivid dreams of when we were happy. It does throw you for a loop. Hang in there, this too shall pass and those dreams will be less frequent.

I still believe that there is a "happily ever after" but it's not with my stbx.

No, Ive maybe dreamed about my ex 3 times in the past 4 months, and it was just the same as it was in reality, we were divorced.

Im thankful that I dont dream about her, it would just agrivate me. i would rather dream about some sexy blonde that loved me and cared for me.

That has to be frustrating. My dreams are the opposite - they're nightmares really. Him telling me he's not in love with me, with the ow, etc. Although I did have one that differed from the rest the other night. In the dream, he told me he wanted to reconcile.

No matter what the dreams are, I always wake up and have to remind myself of what's going on.

No, all I have are nightmares about what he did to me while I did not know. They are like imagining him with the other woman and how much my heart is broken.

oh Rman....I am so with you on this one...I've woken up in the middle of the night and taken a few minutes for my eyes to adjust to the darkness before reality sets in and I realize its my daughter filling the void of his side of the bed...ugh...

I had these dreams also. Eventually, they became panicked dreams as I started to realize the finality of that life. Then...later...the 'other' dreams come...o.O.

No, but I keep having dreams where he would come to me telling me he is sorry for what he has done and promises to get help. I wake up crying, and once I am totally awake I understand it was just a dream and it will never come true..Even if he were to get professional help, I will not take him back, too much damage has already been done. My child comes first in my life, my child needs me more than I need to be married or in a relationship.

My marriage never had that honeymoon phase. We had honey moon DAYS. It wasn't the worst but it wasn't the best marriage I've had and I've never even been married before. All I can do is take the lesson.

Yes at the beginning of this whole process. Now not anymore!! Reality has set in and I've been able to slowly take a few steps forward. Yours too will pass...
