Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
I am just wondering...she asked why it took so long for you to acknowledge and put her first? (To me, the fact you DID NOTICE is a plus whenever it happened.)
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Hugs too.
In one sense, I hope I'm wrong. But I don't think I am. In another sense, I hope you find out SOON. Because I found out about my (now-ex) wife's cheating only 2-3 weeks after she said she wanted a divorce. And it put everything into perspective. And I realized all those red flags were REAL. And I realized, after beating myself up for a while, that SHE was just as culpable as ME for the demise of the marriage. And I didn't cheat. But SHE did.
Hey, I could be wrong. But my nightmare happened in 2015 and I keep coming back here to read peoples' stories and there are some patterns that repeat over and over.
I wish you the best because you sound like me. You tried to save the marriage, you tried to do what was best for your kids. Your wife didn't care. Probably she's in the irrational phase of some new relationship.
Best wishes to you. I would treat her "moving out" as the END of the relationship. Seriously, it's not turning around from that point. Get the divorce, on the best terms that you can. Stick up for yourself. And work on moving on, starting NOW. I'm 3 years out from d-day and 2.5 years out from divorce. Life is pretty damn good. My new life is good, better than it was before. I have a new girlfriend who appreciates me way more than the ex did. I didn't want this for my child but my daughter is doing well.
Summary: There is life beyond the mess. Don't get walked all over. Let a cheater go.
There are two things in operation at this moment.
1.) You haven't addressed your wife concerns and she felt alone.
2.) It is my thought that your wife has found another man to fill in the void. Yes, I believe she is in an affair and you might want to do some investigation. The marriage might have a possibility of being saved if you can find out and expose the other man. This might shock her into trying to save the marriage.
Best,
Will
It has been a hard couple of days. Doesn’t help that i have seen her the last two. Not by choice...she had a few more things to get from the house plus she had to work from the house today because cable and internet are not set up yet at her place.
Ugh....this part sucks.
