Today my stbx went to the lawyer to give a deposition for the divorce. I wasn't required to be there and I didn't go. I have enough on my plate without seeing her to depress me more.
I am sure that it went fine (the lawyer is actually a friend of mine). The divorce will be filed this week and it will all be over slightly after the first of January.
Looking at my life over the last year it is no wonder she left me. I have had health problems, had job issues (I was a supervisor, got demoted, and now I am job hunting because I couldn't stand anymore of the B.S. that I had to go through).
Seriously, if I could find a way to fund it I would fall off of the map for a while in my boat. I really am not enjoying this bad economy and job hunting. Relationships and drama be damned, I am just glad not to have to deal with that crap right now. I would just love to get away from all of this crap for a long period of time and not have anything to deal with at this point. Who knows why my life has been guided in this direction, who knows what I am supposed to learn from all the suffering I have faced, but I do know that this has been one hell of a year and I can't wait for it to be over. Maybe next year will be more graceful and give me quarter.

Instead I am stuck here in my parent's living room on my laptop drinking a beer with the boat sitting there sleeping in her slip, winterized, and me trying to figure out what I am going to do for a job soon.
