Today is going to be hard...

Holidays can really bring you down. I have many blessigs in life, and I am so Thankful for all of them. But I am really feeling sad today.... Came to work for a few, before everyone comes over for dinner, just to keep my mind busy. My parents are no longer here, and this is my first Holiday without my STBX..... The first Holiday knowing they are spending it together, and I am alone is hard to swallow. But I have some friends and family that will be with me today, and for that I am truly greatful!!!

I feel you. I am still in bed. If it weren't for my brother and his wife coming I'd probably not get out of bed all day.

I feel the same way. Today was really hard for me. I kept thinking about how he wasn't with me and instead is with his new gf celebrating their first Thanksgiving together while I am alone. Makes me want to barf.

I feel the same. I am really grateful for all my blessings but I couldn't help think of the first time I met his family on Thanksgiving and how I really grew to love them. Now he's probably there with another woman and that just makes me sad.

I hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving today.

This is my first holiday season since becoming re-singled so it's been hard. On the bright side I did get to spend Thanksgiving with my family which I never got to do before this year. It was nice.

Now I'm at home enjoying a nice glass of wine and just being thankful for my kids, my sister and my parents and not having to deal with the drama of my ex's family. One tradition I definitely didn't mind saying goodbye to!

I am right there with all of you. I honestly dreaded having people say "Happy Thanksgiving!" and "Have a good thanksgiving! " .. its like no...no, i'm not going to have a good thanksgiving. It is not a good one at all....there will be others in the future that will most likely be much much better than this one, and for that I am thankful, but honestly, this one just sucks.
