I do not no where to start.. So I'm just gonna put it all out there. I dated a man for 3.5 years. He had a baby on me. I left. However even after leaving he still had control over me. I continued to see him off and on.. Fast forward to now. We reconnect, and things are going good. Until he asked me to sell myself. I would be lying to you all. If I said I didn't do it.. I thought it would bring us closer. Maybe finally he'll see how much I loved him. But nothing changes. I left and now he's mad at me for leaving. But at what point do I begin to love myself enough to finally detach? I can't do t this to myself anymore. I'm getting older. And I just want to settle down. I've prayed to god. That he releases whatever bondage this man has over my life. I just want to be free!

Just thought I would join this group now that I am a widower. My wife passed away May 28th. She was "The Wind Beneath My Wings". When I met her, I was a drunken, dope smoking, fighting, hell raising biker. She told me if I could get rid of the inner storm within me, that I could be a blessing to people. God placed her in my path to stop me. I have been drug and alcohol free now for 53...

My husband and I got our foster license last month, after 3 years of hard work (we had to start over multiple times due to family dramas and Mom's open heart surgery). We spent a year preparing the whole house, guest rooms, and children's bathroom for older kids of 7 yr old and up. Then we got a call that we have been approved to receive twin newborn premies. What, what?!! Babies!? Premies?!...

You'll detach when you finally believe what you just wrote, that nothing changes. You have to look inward to find the things which are lovable about you, and focus on those. See yourself for more than what he sees you. We all have tons of faults, but also tons of good. You are good. Know and remember that, and you'll drop the people in your life who are bad.
- another key thing to look for is why he was single when you met him to begin with what happened in his previous relationships?
- also he just dissed the girl he had a child with and came back to you and has you selling your body because he's too lazy to work! Girl byeee. This is enough for you to shake your head shake your shoulders and say wait a second what are Earth is wrong with me!
- he is not worth it at all what you are going through is a bruise to your ego and heart. Detach, tell yourself you love yourself 100 times a day for 30 days. Go to therapy if need be. Get you some pen and paper and write a list of your future, with a spirit of graditute. And remember this you are not missing out on not a darn thing he will always be the same man for the rest of his life. But don't have to suffer, he'll be someone elses problem.

He really does have a hold on me. Everything that you said is correct. I know he means me know good. Also that I am too good for him. I have a great job. Family and friends that love me. But obviously it's something more going on with me. I start therapy on the 18th. And I can't wait! Can you please explain what you meant by unplug? Thank you for you kind words of encouragement..
- and a lot of times the things that you are feeling are not coming from you it's coming from them!
- I'll give you an example of how I unplug from a toxic ex before and it works trust me it may take you a couple of times to do it per day and you'll start to feel the person less and less and you'll start to feel the anxiety as you have less and less.
- start by visualizing yourself in a room that is sitting in outer space the universe so is surrounded by stars. Imagine that you are facing him, visualize that there is a cord coming out of your back and plugging into an outlet on his side and imagine a plug coming out of middle of his back and plugging into an outlet on your side. See yourself telling him that you can no longer be connected to him and you are moving forward then whatever you are wearing that day see yourself just as you are leaning down and unplugging your cord from his outlet and his cord from your outlet. Then see yourself turning around walking away from him out opening the door and out into the universe with the door closing behind you imagine him also turning around and walking through a door behind him and out into the universe and a door closing behind him. If you see him being resistant you can force him out of that room with your energy you don't have to be in the room with him but you can see yourself pushing him out of that door and closing. See you guys both walking out into the universe and opposite directions and disappearing this will signify the energy and cord being broken. Do it for as many times as you need to and eventually you will not feel his energy any longer the next step will also be forced the thought of him out of your mind.
