My stbx had an EA with coworker, told me he feel in love with her, he didnt want to be married anymore. He decided to stay married for the kids and I was so desperate that I was okay with it cause I thought that we could rekindle. He has been back and forth between staying and leaving for the past 1 1/2, divorce not divorce but months have passed and things have not change, he is not with OW, but he is emotionally gone. I told him it was better to separate/divorce and he agreed cause he loves me but is not in love with me anymore. I still love him and we talked often, just miscellaneous stuff - kids, work, life - no I love or I miss you's. He is in the Army and currently in Afghanistan and he is getting his 2 week break from his tour for Christmas and invited me to go with the kids to see his family and spent Christmas. I'm so confused on what to do, he made it perfectly clear that he dont want to be married. Am I setting myself up for heartache if I go? My brain tells me not to, is over. Am I just fueling my empty hope and at the end I'm going to be the one hurt again? Would like to hear some opinions.
you know i luv you to death and don't want to see you hurt anymore! i know christmas will be hard without your kids but your heart i feel will set you up for failure if you do go. it will give you false hope. if he isn't saying that he wants to work things out now then it wont change.
