As you would surely agree , time flies quick .
So much so , that there isn't much time left to waste .. Before you know it 20 years by now , will seem like this very day, behind your screen reading this comment of mine .
I'm no one to be giving advice , I myself feel heart broken . But as a third person I can offer an alternative point of view . Try to cultivate a sense of urgency in terms of the life you've got left . Realise how important your life is on this earth , and how much of an impact your love can have on others .
Understand that your ex served a purpose in a specific time in your life and out of your relationship you can take valuable lessons that will help construct your new future and a much stronger Charlotte .
Understand that there is a high chance someone out there is desperately looking for you because you are unique , special and someone's ideal partner .
Bottom line
Be open to change , be open to love and most importantly value the little time on earth in order to make the most out of this life .
All the best Hun .
I was with my ex for 6 years. Once we broke up - I felt completely lost for almost a year. But I started to take care of myself, said yes to opportunities... and eventually I met someone else. Looking back at my ex - I was upset I wasted so much sadness over him. I was in a much better relationship and was much happier with my current partner. However now, that partner and I have separated ways. I want to get back in the same rut - but I know, that it's not worth making yourself miserable. Be happy and good things will happen. I promise.
Sorry you are in emotional pain.
Really.
The wounds will not heal as long as we focus on them in our minds. What heals wounds, is working on shifting our focus to our strengths, to the brighter future, focusing on the Present moment, and becoming willfully ignorant of the past.
Yes, you may be too smart to just let the past go. You'd rather keep processing it. But at some point, processing turns into regurgitation, and we just fall into this harmful habit.
In short, time can heal wounds, yes, if we focus on something other than those wounds.
