I had this flash through my head today. I am really dreading holidays and the aniversary. That will suck. I am really worried about this now!

Yeah. tell me about it. My anniversary is coming up in July and I know it is going to be a very hard time. Luckily, I have to do clinicals with my nursing assistant class on that day so I will be busy at least part of the day. At least I know I can come here on that day and get the needed support.

Stay busy on those days.

Hang out with friends, but stay occupied in some way, shape or form.

I know for me the holidays were bittersweet, but it leaned more towards being grateful that I wasn't around her any longer than it did feeling like I missed out by not being with her.

Christmas and New Years being so close together is either a blessing or a curse, can't quite figure it out.

Heave - don't stress about it - I've passed all of the holidays now - the anniversary, birthdays, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter - you will get thru them - hey will be different but they will pass and you will be here to great another day. I had my memories of holidays past - this year my kids and I celebrated the ones we could together - my aniversary, I did so alone. Just remember you will get thru each and every one of them.

Yeah my divorce will be final around our anniversary so I decided that I am going to throw myself a divorce party! IT is easier for me to laugh at myself than cry so my close friends will be there to help me start a new chapter of my life! Just stay busy and make it your own.

I was kind of too....but I've already been invited to Christmas at a friend's house with my daughter, possibly the 4th too....things seem to pop up when you least expect it. Just have to make yourself available to it!
