So, for those of you who don't know my story: I was dumped nearly a year ago by someone i was going to marry. A few months ago i met someone who seemed perfect and convinced me to give it a chance with her, and now, lo and behold-broken hearted again.
Here are some things I have learned/some other random thoughts
1. I was a complete wreck after i was dumped (the first time, it's too early to tell this time)- BUT eventually things got better, not completely better but not constant pain, just a pain that hits you every now and then and doesn't last long
2.I didn't take care of myself afterwards- I think it's easy to just be weak in these moments, it took me a long long time, but i have started to work out again. (hopefully i won't stop again) It is so important to keep physically fit, sometimes it seems like you can't control anything, but you can always control your body, your health and your fitness. a fit body means a fit mind.
3. This is a sad one- They don't ever want you back. It seems almost impossible to believe, but especially with women. Just, there is and never was any chance, so don't think that there is. "don't waste time thinking about someone that isn't thinking about you"
4. You are still a beautiful person- what someone does to you doesn't define how you are, how others see you. Is it much consolation now? Probably not, but don't let someone else take the best bits of you with them.
5. This is a controversial one i'm sure- People are not happy to end long relationships. They may act cold and terrible and you wonder where they went. Sometimes it's the only way that they can express the...pain, by ripping off the band aid.
6. Learning from old mistakes- This might seem odd for me, I tried really hard with this new relationship and i did learn from my mistakes a lot of times. It ended for different reasons, but at least i didn't let old, past mistakes haunt me again.
7. I'm still alive, i still have family, still have friends- Sometimes you lose your world, sometimes you are in a dark place for a long time, there will always be light at the end of the tunnel and always people who care.
8. I will end it here on my most important one- Patience- I was so distraught and i tried anything and everything to get better, but i didn't. It took so long. Unfortunately these things do. It takes AGES to heal. But yet you do. be patient with yourself, learn to love yourself and accept that you cannot get over it quickly, because you have to know that it's a long ride to recovery, but recover you will.
I don't know if these thoughts help anyone or make any sense, but I haven't been on here for a while and thought i would share my experiences.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
Your thoughts above are very helpful! Thanks for sharing!
I am so sorry for your pain. But thank you for sharing your wisdom and experience. It hit home for me for sure.
