I’m praying you loosen your hold on him and open yourself up to new people. Grieve, and then let go. The more you turn your focus away from him, the more attentive you are to your own well-being. And it is perfectly acceptable to be down and out now - after all, you found a part of yourself in him - but I pray you are able to take back that similitude and foster it elsewhere. It will be a slow, day-by-day journey, but you'll get there.
I understand that she must feel pretty unhappy to decide to make such a change. But why give up before we try? At least if we went to therapy and we found that it couldn't work, we could look at each other as friends. I am not angry, I trusted her word, her love, and her character. Never again.
