The Rules And How We Enforce Them
When a member does something that is "not OK" on DS, we may a) warn the member, b) delete some or all of their content, and c) temporarily or permanently ban a member depending on the gravity and number of violations.
Typically, a member will be warned at least twice and the offending content removed. In certain cases (extreme personal attack, threats of violence, commercial spammers), we will remove the member immediately without a warning.
We don't like banning members, and are careful only to do so after taking careful investigation and appropriate action. Members are rarely banned for anything other than consistent public or private member attacks, spam, or inappropriate contact with an underage member.
These rules will continue to evolve over time as we face new issues and re-think other ones.
It is important to note that DailyStrength does not actively moderate our communities. We have neither the resources, ability or desire to regulate what members post on the site. However, we DO respond to abuse reports and other feedback
" Typically, a member will be warned at least twice " this does not mean it will happen everytime for everyone.
What you feel is funny may be offensive to others. They only react here, they don't actively read and close down people.
I can tell you I've never seen anyone get completely deleted on that manner without warnings.
Wow ~ thanks for all the nice words. I'm kind of giggling that anyone would use the words "kind hearted" to describe me... There are many days when I feel anything but kind hearted!
I just wanted to clear up any confusion. I was not banned, but left on my own, which now seems like it was a hasty decision, because as you can see, I'm back! *waves*
I don't know why you were banned. I did read that sometimes new members that are really active get banned because the system reads you as a spammer ~ that might explain the banning with no warning. Who knows...
I do hope that you stick around this time, however, because I find you very entertaining. I also tend to like just about anyone that gives me unsolicited compliments. = )
Exagerating a bit?
I seem to remember that the Nazis killed 9 million people, 6 million of the Jews, along with a few million homosexuals and mental patients.
Did DS kill you? Are you speaking from beyond the grave?
And why in the world would you want back? I seem to remember people trying to get OUT of Nazi Germany, not back in....
I personally never had any family members killed in Germay, but my dad and uncle fought in the war, and I really don't think it's a subject to take lightly.
DS team, this must be what love is. I know now I was confused thinking love meant support, kindness, caring and forgiveness. Wonder how many people has been devastated to the point of no return. Just asking or is that against the ROR?
DS takes the easy road. All talk and no balls.
:)
I'm just looking down the list and I see every thread has responses, and the responses for the most part, seem to be the best people have to offer - empathy, shared sorrow, advice, success stories, commiseration, cheerleading and humour.
It's nice :)
this is why from now on i am keeping my mouth shut. even if someone is attacking me, i will report them and say nothing to them.
There has been a overflow of new people on here. That is good for it is nice to see new opinions. The problem is they are/have gone.
