Saw the divorce lawyer yesterday - it feels so unreal but it is a reality. I'm not upset or mad at my stbx anymore - I'm just sad really sad that we couldn't work things out, that he couldn't work through his issues, that our family is reduce to be me and my kids.
I want and I don't want to cry. I'm afraid if I start crying I would never stop but at the same time I can't cry anymore than what I already have.
I have accepted the fact that we are getting divorced, their is no turning around, changing our minds, my stbx is to far gone, has been for a while. We talked about the divorce, about the kids, we just talked and keep it civil but the sad thing is I still look forward to hear from him, I know that we are not getting back together and I'm not harboring any secret hope that we will reconcile, I feel pathetic!!!!!!
It is the beginning of the end of my marriage - end of a family but hopefully the beginning of a new life.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
What I did to allow myself time to cry and let my feelings release was to get a box of tissues, a movie that brings tears to my eyes without effort, a comfy blanket and pillow, and then I let the tears roll without shame. Doing that gave me relief, and yes, you will feel better afterwards.
I tell guys that the strongest males I know are willing to shed tears, and cry when they need to, even if it's in the privacy of a secluded area.
Stay strong, both of you, to help your selves heal.
Best wishes.
