I hope I don't die of a heart attack in order to see my kids make it to high school and eventually graduate.

I hope to have finally gotten that graduate degree I've been bitching about getting for the last 4 years.

Other than that, I don't have a single clue. None.

In the mirror mostly.

10 years.... same place I am now, making more money and not dealing with bullshit.

I thought about this:

I don't even make New Year's resolutions because life has many twists and turns....hell, I don't make lists nor plans anymore. I just go or do what comes my way or nothing at all....I used to be a planner and a list person. No more.

But, for the thread's sake. In 10 years, I would like to see myself spending my life with someone who not only tells me that "You are my life, my love, my all" and backs it up. I will probably not marry again but not opposed to it. In 10 years, I will be almost an empty nester. If I don't have someone to grace my life, I will travel alone....

Hopefully an intelligence officer in the Canadian or US Navy....most likely Canadian and have a beautiful family of my own with my fabulous husband...is that too much to ask for?

I like this post a lot. I've been picturing myself at one of my girls HS graduation of late which is a little more than 10 years so I'll tell you where I'll be at that point since that's what I've been thinking of. It'll be a typical warm June day and I'll look out at the field with all the graudates looking for my "little" girl. I'll find her she sees me and we wave. I wave as proudly as a proud father can...than I look over to my right and there's the woman I'm totally in love with. I hold her hand and think back on these days and think...how yeah they were very very hard for me...but I/we (my girls and I) made it through it and I'm so much better off. I give my wife (or girlfriend...not sure if I will ever get married we'll see) a kiss and tell her how much I love her and she just gives me that look...that look of I know and I feel the same way. I couldn't be more secure in my life...and I couldn't be happier with how things have turned out.

Honestly. I would like to see myself still flying solo but have a career that I love..

Not sure about the career, but just to be able to do something I love everyday would be good..

FD...you created such a wonderful pix in my mind..would want that, too, for myself I don't know IF that will happen ever again.

i will have a very developed ecommerce business that is still simple and easy only much more profitable. lol i expect it to have a few subsidiaries.

in about 10 years, i expect to be very settled into a new modest little home, fishing and boating the Missouri, hiking and biking my fav bike trail, going to church preferably with a girlfriend or wife, going out with people and having fun like seeing college basketball games, little league stuff, and just being a part of the community.

actually, i don't think it will even take 10 years to get there.

I thought it was gonna end in Y2K?
