I can say it does get better with time. It'll be 10 months since she left me on Wednesday. You make new routines in your life. Find new things to do. Find out new things about yourself.
Dandelion is right in that your new situation can be better than the old. I've come to see my ex for who and what she really is and I know I'll be better in the long run without her.
I'm grieving the loss of ONE person, not the end of my life. (A lot of time lost with my kids but they're not lost to me). There are more chapters to my life and I'm going to be stronger and wiser in them for having gone through this.
