Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
When you feel like "all the love the world had for" you is dead, sit back and really examine that. What basis do you have for that feeling? Do you have parents still alive and if so, do they love you? Do you have siblings and if so, do they love you? Do you have children and if so, do they love you? Do you have a dog or a cat and if so, do they love you? Do you have friends and if so, do they love you? Keep going and add up all the people who really do love you. I'll bet there are a lot more than you think. Many times, this feeling of being unloved and unlovable comes down to one person ... HIM or HER. It's that one person's love you crave right now. That's a far cry from saying you are unloved by the world and will never be loved again so maybe that makes it a bit more manageable. Get a piece of paper and write down all the things about him that made you angry and all the things he did that hurt you. Keep that paper with you and when these feelings arise again, read it. You need something to give you a balanced perspective because right now, your perspective is very unbalanced. Have you considered counseling? That has helped me tremendously!
