Strange Advice

Everyone that talks to me about my wife and I separating keeps telling me to use this time to find myself. I am starting get tired of hearing this because I know who I am. I know how my personality is.

I am a sailor. I am a fisherman. I am a cop. I am a pirate at heart.

I know what I am going to do if my wife and I don't get back together. I am just going to move on and sail all over the bloody Potomac River and Chesapeake Bay. I might go to work once in a while to just because I have to pay the bills.

I am looking at the horizon. There is open water out there and it is calling me. I can't go now but someday I will. One day I will leave my dock and then people around here will only hear ledgends and rumors about me and where I have sailed.

And if I ever get back into the dating game....She better like boats!!!!

i'm not even that crazy about it, but it seems the grandkids should enjoy it rather than the whore *shrugging shoulders*

Per the seperating agreement the boat is fully mine. Just as well....It was documented totally in my name. If she had gone after it I would have just sailed it WAY south and she would have never found me or the boat :P It is hard to trace a documented boat because it doesn't have a State Registration to hold it down. If it is in international waters it is not subject to too many things :)

Heavetoo...its good that you know who you really are to the core. Many of us lose our ways in our relationships and end up losing pieces of ourselves and have to rebuild. The fact that you are so grounded and certain of who you are is a healthy thing! I know what you mean about advice...I swear if my family says "being angry doesn't help matters" or "crying wont change things" one more time to me...I'm gonna go postal. Hang in there...I know things are rough right now.

Seriously....the next person who says something like that to me is getting the Black Spot (let them figure that one out). I am going to have to get something to make a black spot out of. Sheesh.

Just a funny thought...I think that I am going to make some business cards for myself and put a big black spot on the left side. Sorry....just my twisted sence of humor.

Im with both of ya, there are phrases I am soooo done hearing!
I swear it is sick but the only people who seem to 'get it' are my friends on here. People I have never met are better than the ones I know 'for real'

Hey, HeaveToo, if I can't find myself, can I clone your identity to be myself? Being a pirate sounds great. I bet pirates just spit on well-meaning but annoying advice-givers? (Or do pirates do something cooler than spitting?)
