My wife of 21 years dropped the bomb on me last week. No warning, no fighting. I am angry, hurt, regretful, panic, and scared. I'm almost 67 years old. Not many prospects of finding someone (not that I want to) to live on a cattle farm in the middle of the Mark Twain National Forest. She was my only friend (for many reasons) and I have no family that's close. I have three children, all with mental issues, non of whom speak to me. So I have to turn to the internet for what little support I might find. HELP!
I don't know how I missed your post from eight days ago but I did. You give me hope for a continued life in the boonies. I love it out here and there's never a question of what should I do today. I'm fortunate financially. My STBX has left me the entire farm and the only debt I have is on a new piece of equipment.
My long term goal is to get the farm ready to sell. No reason for it not to look great all the time. Who knows by that time I may decide that this is where I will spend the rest of my days.
Hard work takes care of a lot of bad thoughts during a divorce and farms sure keep you on the straight and narrow and your mind centered on what is real. At least it did for me. You have two orphan cows to care for. Have you named them yet. Don't unless you intend to keep them forever.
