I was 55 when my wife dropped a note in front of me and walked off (as I was looking at second honeymoons online)
For me, it was someone else all along, although it was a gradual dribble of information after denials and lies.
Yes, this group has many people who have been through some really bad stuff, so you will find some answers to the new world of self doubt, a broken heart and all the emotional stuff which knocks you over daily.

I really feel a truly wonderful woman would never, ever, drop a bomb like this one on a nonsuspect spouse. She couldn't have been thinking of your feelings at all.
I was 60 when my divorce was final. The ex was working overseas and totally forgot he was married. When I finally figured everything out I wanted out.
I live alone out in the boonies on 34 acres and I board horses to cover bills. This farm is what pulled me out of all the hurt of being married to someone who finally let me see who he is.
I made it thru the several years it took to financially untangle myself from a vindictive ex.
The horses, dogs and cats were my only friends. You will recover from this with time and a lot of working on yourself.
Each day try to count your blessings. You have a lot to count. You have your farm and cows to fill up time and the beauty of where you are blessed to be able to live. If I can live in the boonies and thrive on this farm in time you will be able to make a different life for yourself.
