Yeah it's normal to still love someone after 7 months. It will take a lot of time to heal. The key is acceptance. You have to come to realize that it's over and move forward that's when the healing starts. It's great that you are dating again keep doing it and one day you will fall for someone else and get over ex.

just ask yourself are you taking care of yourself?
Are you working out, eating right, do you have a good church, how are your hobbies, what are you doing for your career, are you taking advantage of the free time to get ahead in the game of life?
Are you present in your life and center focused?
What was the last book you read?

After the relationship ended it broke me. I couldn’t get myself to do anything but in a room and hope the world would end. Now I’ve started back doing some of things I use to like to do. Reading is something I loved, but it takes a lot of focus, which I don’t have a lot of. I hoping as time pass, I can do more of the things you mentioned Memphis. Thanks for the advice. I can use all the help I can get. Also, I am trying to learn a new language so maybe that will help some

It is normal to be stuck for a long time because each person’s healing varies. Same thing with injuries, it differs from person to person depending on how strong the person is and the help he is getting. You can heal faster by emptying your mind and heart of her. Start removing any physical objects around you and digital images and messages that would remind you of her. This is not ruthless but something you need to do for yourself and you either succumb to loneliness and prolong it or do something about it. So, empty your life of any memories of her and replace it with someone (maybe another woman) or something new (an activity to keep you preoccupied, or your job and career) as already suggested.

Thanks for the advice, coffee maker. I did what you said and removed anything that reminded me of her. So I only have one thing I can’t get rid of, and that’s her number.

I have an iPhone and when I go to send a text message, her name and number are stuck in the phone and can’t be erased. I was on the phone with apple for 3 hours, and could not get it removed. Maybe if I go to the apple store they can help. But that’s the last thing for me to erase before I’m 100% free
