If either party is having a hard time seeing the other's point of view it's time to bring in a neutral 3rd party. They'll be able to listen to both sides of your situation and give you BOTH things to work on if you're looking to keep trying.

Thank you. We will be having our second session with our marriage counselor this afternoon. Our assignment was to compromise on one of our problems, but he just didn't see why we have to. He doesn't understand that we are a couple and we both need to sacrifice something to make our relationship work. He strongly believes that our problem is all me-that I'm just insecure and jealous. I feel like it's either his way or the high way

His way or the highway doesn't work. You're in a relationship. Relationships take 2 people working together. Both of you are going to have to give and take in this process. Tell him that in front of the counselor so you can get a neutral party to chime in and knock him down a peg or fifty. Keep being strong!

Hugs, If he unwilling to bend to the slightest detail, then there is something going on that you do not know about yet. I would get in touch with a lawyer and a financial advisor. Just to get an idea what resources are available to you. Then a therapist for yourself. My ex refused to bend to anything. You are walking an eggshells my friend. I did not realize that until I left him. Be strong and gentle with yourself

My ex and i did the MC route that did not go well,
He was already checked out and was looking at

We also had been having circular arguements once
A month. He could not see or understand my side
And i could not understand or see his side.

Anytime they don't think they are issue at all is a huge red flag..... basically how It was with my ex. We did try too long tonworknon it and for us ended very bad.

@feeling_lost I'm.glad you guys are in marriage counseling. At least someone is there to guide you both. I say take some time off away from your husband. Let everything cool off and calm down before bringing divorce in the table. Don't even bring it up until you know you can live with your decision (whatever that maybe), only if possible. I also think that if he's just saying you're insecure or jealous, try to put yourself in his shoes just to get different perspective. I know its more effort to you; but at least you know that you tried everything.

You seem to be doing the things you need to do to save your marriage. Has the counselor had a session with just you and then just him? I found when my ex and I were going that after 3 sessions alone he quit. Evidently she figured him out and he didn't like it. I continued to go for 2 years and was in a support group with others going through the same thing and it helped me tremendously. They were open and honest with me and helped me through the denial of it all.

Any chance he's interested in someone else?

He may just have a wandering eye at this point, and I don't know your ages, but if he's become flirty with someone and has grass is greener syndrome marriage counseling not only isn't going to work, it may serve to prove to him just what a pain in the butt the relationship is.

I bring the age thing into it because older more experienced people know how to value a good thing and don't fall for that grass is greener stuff like those with less experience do.

Of course there are exceptions. Some folks never learn.
