Once I read that all we really need to know about life we learned in Kindergarten.

Friendship, respect for self and others, privacy and sharing.

So today, I am wearing my "Princess Crown" and looking for other friends to play with me. Life is not a fairy tale... but sometimes we can have just one day to bring out the magic beauty.

I decided that today is my day! Would you like to join me?

i remember when i was little and my sister and i would sit on the front porch with ice cream and mix it with a spoon, pretend we were adults baking cakes. we called each other what we thought were grown-up names, martha, edith etc. hoola hoops, kick-ball, jump rope. when the neighbors really knew the neighbors. good memories. xoxoxoxoxoxo

Hey Chrurop, thanks for sharing your memories. I was a single child and most of my memories are a blend. Although I had a close cousin, she and I only became close as teenagers. Disneyworld is my place for fun and I took my daughter many times there - to only see that I enjoyed as much if not more than her!

My daughter used to get this huge loving look in her eyes when I tucked her in when she was little....she would sigh and the most heartfelt compliment she could think of, was to call me snowhite. So, whenever I am down...she will call me that and it always makes me think of the love I saw in her eyes for me.

My kids, when they were little called me Tweetie Bird... cause I was so small! LOL.... I called my oldest Bugs (bugs bunny) and the youngest Taz.... (they were really into LooneyToons)...

Okay, but I didn't like kindergarten. I remember my mother dragging me in and I was kicking and screaming. I even remember her trying to pry my fingers off the porch railing.

I liked nursery school though.. Playing on the jungle Gym and eating popcorn for snacks..

I want to play, but not be a damsel in distress waiting for her prince. Can't we play red light green light? or tag. Take a minute to look up and see the images in the clouds, and most importantly, believe that everything can be fixed with some cookies and milk.
