Let's start with the basics here. I was married to my ex-wife for 14 years. We have now been divorced since the end of 2006. We have both moved on in our lives and are both remarried. I have physical custody of our 3 children. I contact her only when there is something to discuss regarding our children (school, events, medical, visits, etc.). This is the way I prefer it and have maintained this minimum contact since shortly after I signed our divorce papers.
Yesterday, my ex was on the phone talking to our daughter. My daughter hands me the phone and says, "mom wants to talk to you for a minute." I take the phone and she starts telling me that she has been racking her brain all day long about the significance of Sept. 25. She said she ran through birthdays of people she knows, anniversaries of people she knows, etc. (Sept 25 is not any of our birthdays and is not an anniversary for anyone that I know). She then says, "... then it hit me, it's the anniversary of the day we met." I just sat there and said, "oh, hmmm." She paused for a moment then went on to talk about the next visit the kids will have with her.
My question is, Why would she bring up the anniversary of the day we met?. She never mentioned any kind of significance to that date for the 14 years we were married. We never celebrated that date in any way, shape or form. Why now? I don't understand her motivation. I am happy in my marriage ... perhaps she is not, but frankly, I don't care enough about her or what's going on in her life to give a crap if she's happy or not.
I told my wife about this odd comment. Later that night, my wife asked me if I had ever entertained thoughts of "getting my family back together?" I honestly answered, "No.". I can't stand my ex-wife and the thought of being married to her makes me sick. My wife told me that my ex may be realizing what she had and threw away. My ex has told me that she is feeling remorse for the way she treated me for most of our marriage. I appreciate that she now feels sorry for it, but I'm not sure what to make of this "day we met" stuff. I just don't get it.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper? Im ready to start...
either way, you didn't open door so don't worry ab it.
I think it's normal to have a passing thought about an ex. I think it is when we stay in those thoughts we might have a problem. IMO...
