Some weekends are harder than others...

Ending another weekend remembering some great weekends I had with the ex... memories hurt so much sometimes. I can't help but think about what I would be doing if we were still together. I'll have several "good" weekends; and, then a "sentimental" weekend sets me back. It's one of those things where "the mind knows what's best but the heart just won't follow".
Maybe one day it won't hurt to think about the past....still waiting on the hands of time!?!

I agree. This is the 7th weekend without my spouse. He hasn't attempted any contact and neither have I. It's been hell on earth for me and I suspect he's having a far easier time than I have been (I think there was a woman waiting in the wings when he told me to move back to TN). The tears still rain down everyday and the finality is starting to set in.

Oh my, I'm sorry, I know just what you are talking about. I wonder if I'll ever be ready to leave the house again....

It does suck. The only thing to do is to make new plans and memories so the old ones get pushed aside. Try not to dwell too long, as that does no one any good. Put the focus back on you and what you enjoy doing. Why not do some of the things alone that you used to do together, or go find a friend to do them with? It's hard moving on and getting out of our comfortable old routine. I am a victim of this as well. But we have to keep pressing forward. There's a whole big wide world waiting for us, but we have to open the front door.

This is such a hard thing to get over. I am happy it is spring again so I can want to be back outside creating new memories!

Thank you all for the encouragement. It's much appreciated. I really did try to have a good weekend! Lol. I went to dinner and movie with a friend, worked outside (I've planted a small garden....something I've always wanted to do - beautiful weather for that) and housework. But when I sat outside on Sunday evening...those old memories crept back in. They come at the weakest moments. Hey, there's always next weekend, right? :)

Weekends are hard for me because I miss "family time". Especially when my daughter is away at her dads. This past weekend was really hard. For the first time since this started, I started to feel "lonely". I didn't want to hang out with my friends. I wanted "someone" of my own.

Yes, I hate that lonely feeling, when it seems that everyone has "someone" but you. Sorry you're feeling it too. :(
