I was thinking today (as I am always doing)
That from the time that my ex seemed happy and all seemed well to the point he left, it was very short. On valentines day he asked if I would consider moving in with him (we had lived together once and I moved out as he felt we had moved to quickly (agreed) and he wanted his chance to have his own place) And between then and the day in July he confessed, that was enough time for him to change his mind again.

Is this a man terrified of actually committing? (Though I never pushed for any such thing)
A man who is easily swayed?

Although he has never admitted, each time he had a panic and left was after or around friends weddings.
The guy I trusted entirely, called my wolverine (Yes. I am a huge geek) and thought was great has a huge flaw.

Dang.

Well, in reality, we all have flaws. Thank God, too....being around people who think they are perfect is sooooo tedious. And, if everyone was a carbon copy of each other??? Ugh.

You're processing your break up....seeing some truth with the blinders off...this is good news :)

Yeah. As I say when I stop analysing things, wondering how it could have been if he didn't have these issues and just spoke to me, if I knew the exact reason he felt he had to leave instead of the many different reasons he gave and then took back blah blah blah then I'll feel better.

I hear you. My ex could never come up with a decent reason for cheating, or several others choices he made. Maybe he didn't have a good reason, or maybe the reason wasn't good enough for me. Either way, it didn't work.

Tell me about it. First he didn't know why but he was unhappy. Then he said he didn't appreciate me enough. Then he sent that email saying how we couldn't have chats like him and his friends, I didn't push him to be passionate about what he loved etc (I assure you, I did this and more)
Then he emails months later to say he didn't mean the email, he was ashamed and petty and I did everything for him etc. So I'm left now with no answer at all.
I can be the best girlfriend in the world and do everything and still I can get discarded,
I IRONED FOR HIM!!! Lol

I do think he has mucked up. It's just a shame that when it's a big mistake for him it's also a big sad thing to come back from for me.

Last night I had this brief moment of feeling good. Like I didn't want him. It is hard to hold onto that feeling for more than a few seconds whenever it happens.
