Wife emailed me earlier and asked if i was going to be ok with the fact she was having her boyfriend over for a movie and dinner tonight.

LOL, she was just concerned that I would come over and beat his ass, but I told her "whatever, I dont care anymore."

Of course I believed that when I said it; but as the night went on my anxiety got worse and worse. So did my anger. But my kids were with me, and we had some fun, and I took some Tylenol PM, and now I feel ok. Im going to bed and hopefully sleep good for the first time in a long time.

Im sure she is sleeping just fine, with someone to wrap her arms around.

Well my 6 year old fell asleep in my bed watching cartoons, I get to snuggle up to him.

Personally tonight I think I got the better end of the deal.

It is amazing how much better our little ones can make us feel. Hang in there be the best father you can be. It is hard believe me I know but someday they will understand what they lost.

The hardest night of my life was when my ex took the girls with her to spend the night at "his" house. I am proof that it does get easier...14 months later and not only am I over the pain, heartache and drama but I am happier than ever...stay strong brother!

I hope you feel amazing this morning as you wake up with your little one - at 6 years old this time is so precious and so important! I am in the same boat since my ex now has his girlfriend living with him and I know when the boys are there - it just kills to think what is going on - so my time with them is all about them and I feel good about that! When they are older - they will remember this time with you and appreciate the attention - it's critical to their development!

I can state for a fact without my grandaughter to keep me company during the day, this transition would have been horrible. Hug those little one close to you, they will help you keep your faith in tomorrow.

BTW why in the world would she call you and tell you that. That was cruel. Or a power play.
