Saturday night I called my daughter to see if any one has put up the window air conditioners. It was not. So, I asked my daughter to ask my wife if she wanted me to, my daughter handed the phone to my wife and I told her I do not want to talk to her because I might get in trouble with the RO. She said I will not. So I asked her if she wanted me to put up the air conditioners. She said she will get back to me.
On 10pm Sunday night, my father-in-law called me to tell me my kids are really hot and cannot sleep and asked me to put up the air conditioners. I told him I do not want to get in trouble she might call the police on me. He said, he talked to my stbx and she promised not to call the police, and if she did, he will back me up saying my wife wanted me there. So, I went and put up the air conditioners.
While I was there, she tried to talk to me, I tried to ignored her, but she kept trying to talk to me and ask questions. It took half an hour to put up three window air conditioners in all three bedrooms.
When I was done, I just left. She did say thank you and added a comment saying, "SEE I DIDN'T CALL THE POLICE."
So, did I do the right thing?

It is so hard to let go but unfortunately you must come to understand that you are no longer allowed to act in the best interests of your children when they are in that house.
It's shit but your X chose to get a restraining order and she must bear the brunt of this. She is punishing the children in her stupid quest to get back at you.
Stay the hell away it will only get you in shit.
