I would like to start dating, but I spend most of my time with my kids or the seniors that I work with. The "worthwhile" sites that I have gone on, such as Christian Mingle, eHarmony, or match have a cost attached to them. Should I pay the price? BTW I've been separated for about a year and a half and divorced for eight months.

You can join ChristianMingle for free, there is a fee to upgrade your account, but I'm a ember, and if you just want to feel it out a bit there's no pressure to upgrade any time soon. You can view members and interact wo upgrading. There are however certain interaction that will be blocked, I haven't missed them.

I've never tried Match or EHarmony, but I have a reltive who met her husband of 6yrs (they dates for 6yrs beforehand) in Match (or EHarmony, not sure which). So I know first hand it's not all just hype.

So I would say, don't pay a dime wo a free trial period first to see if you're interested.

How big of a community do you live in? POF is free and is the biggest site out there... but you need to weed through the freaks. I use OkCupid... it is also free and I enjoy it much more, but I live in Toronto so there are LOTS of people to choose from. My friend tried a site you pay for...eHarmony or something like that and she is not having much luck... she met a few guys but not really.
