Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
No, you aren't being immature. You do need to put it in the past and to move on. He's going to be a butt b/c he can. He showed you that the last time you were together, as I recall. Don't hold your breath waiting for him to do the right thing now.
Block, and DONT unblock. Block people who will give you a window into what he's doing too. No Contact, it's the way to go.
Give him a deadline, if he doesn't pick his stuff up it's gone.
You can leave it on a porch, curb, or with a neutral person, you all don't have to see each other for the "stuff exchange."
Unfortunately, I'd agree that you need to accept the fact that you may not get your things back from him. If it's particularly expensive or family heirloom or something, consider telling him you'll file a police report for that item. Otherwise, accept that some material items are a small price to pay to get your freedom and sanity back.
Stay in the "I want to move on" frame of mind, and that will help immensely.
