You said:
" It was a weird situation because she wanted so much and gave so little. I tried my best and wasnt enough."
Heck NO you do NOT want her back. You gave your best----this girl is not worth your time.
My son was 27 when he got his first girlfriend. He is normal, just picky. His big requirement is he wants someone nice. Seems like that's a hard thing to find these days. He is a checker in a grocery store so he had plenty to choose from. I do believe they are soul mates. I love her too and her family is terrific.
Please do not settle for someone like that girl. Someone will come along that will be perfect for you and will want to give to you like you give to them!!!! Be patient, you are young yet.
Good luck.
Don't beg for her back, learn from this experience and look for a woman who deserves you!
Your self-esteem is low, and that can be fixed, when you start improving that, you will like yourself more, as you like yourself more, you will start becoming more confident around women, you will start to reach out more, and THEN you will find someone who is WORTHY OF YOU. NEVER EVER BEG. All the best to you.
You don't tell her who you are, or what the scavenger hunt is all about, you just make it fun for her ... after a short while, of doing things like (counting the pillars at a museum -- or the rose bushes in a garden) -- or picking up a $10.00 ice-cream gift card -- you finally start to be more romantic and share memories with her.
Worst case -- you get nothing
Best case -- you make her think really hard.
I would not give up --
this is not begging --- this is a creative way of getting to her head without even calling her.
Its also very romantic.
Be sure and send your emails, or whatever from a different number that can't be traced back to you-- or a different email -- so for a while she has no idea who is doing this.
Its not strange or weird because everywhere she goes is a public place and fun. Some of the things could relate to her child, like children's museums or playgrounds
It made me sleep better at night as well because I took the extra step and was humble in my attempt to win her back. I never asked myself 'what if' because I did everything within my power to answer that question before it was asked.
You know, we are all going through something similar. I also really want to talk to my ex and I really miss her a lot and I also want her back. You obviously don't just forget someone quickly so unfortunately it's a feeling that you are gonna have to deal with for a little while, and you have to be strong. I end up repeating this mantra every time my thoughts stray to her I think "It's ok to think about her, now you have to stop". I say that to myself many times a day.
Look, you have some other issues going on too. You are afraid of never having a gf again, not really the best basis for a serious relationship. Also it's your first and only experience with someone and that can also distort the reality in your head.
I remember my first relationship, I also thought that I would never find someone else and I held on for too long, it took 3 and a half years, 2 of them where I was predominantly unhappy because I thought that I would never find anyone again. After I eventually ended it, I quickly realized that of course It wasn't true.
You mention twice in your post about feeling "normal" which I find particularly interesting. Heartbreak and breakups are normal, and don't worry so much. You found someone once, and you will find someone again. Make sure that you are the best that you can be so that you are ready when that time comes ok?
