I'm sorry it's way to early for her to be introducing your children to the man she is having an affair with! Since you are still legally married, that's what she is doing and this sets a terrible example to your children about marriage!

I would hate having a strange guy meeting my children. Can you get someone to run a background check on him?

I am in agreement with the other two answers. I would insist on a back ground check and it is too soon to be exposing these young children to just a man she is dating.. I wonder if there is anything you can do legally to keep her from introducing what may be one of many to the children unless she is serious about them.... I'm wondering the same thing, it bothers me so bad and my kids are 30 and 19. My 19yr old won't have anything to do with him, the other on wants to stay nuetral which I can understand but it still bothers the hell out of me. Just the image of him being there with my son and daughter inlaw is ugly. Maybe I feel threatened, will they think she is nicer than me, better for H, shes looks nicer than me, she is younger than me. And it goes on and on.

The gf came as a real shock, we were barely seperated and there she is, they won't say anyhting to me about her so I don't know her name, nothing.

When someone has the answer please let me know.

Your wife should not be bringing this guy around, your children are much to young, what is she expecting them to do or say. Stupid

you are just gonna have to trust that your stbx will not put your children in harms way mine had her bf over before i was out of the house he is over all the time but what can i do. trust that your children will tell you if anything happens

I agree with the others here. It is way too early for her to be introducing your children to another person. Clearly she is not concerned with their best interests emotionally. You could probably pursue some restrictions through the court system but my impression from the horror stories I've seen here (and through some volunteer counseling that i do) is that courts rarely protect the interests of children, much less when that interest is primarily moral, aka a "lifestyle choice". And if you say something to her she is just going to dig her heels in, and you will be considered the ass. I think your best option might just be to take the high road; be the model parent, and love love love your kids. In the end, they will know who is there for them. (((((HUGS FOR STRENGTH)))))

Great advice from Begin07. I very much agree that with you taking the high road and letting your kids know that you are watching out for them first and foremost, they will remember that. It will make a difference. It has with mine. The new boyfriend should not be in the picture yet -- not for some time. Bad timing all the way around.

And she may say that the kids haven't said anything that they have a problem with it all? Maybe they are just too darned yound to articulate all of the confused feelings that they have.
