I was giving my wife a ride to work and she says "why did you go through my stuff"?

I didnt think she would realize that I had awoken early, and her purse and work bag were on the floor, so I went through them.

I was just honest to her and told her I was looking for phone numbers, receipts, names, those kinds of things.

She simply said "and what would finding something like that do for you?"

I said "I dont know, answer some of the questions inside my heart."

She says "we talk every night about the same things over and over, what question could there still be..."

I just ignored her since the kids were in the car....she didnt push the issue.

I didnt want to go through her things (though she has done it to me in the past) but I have to know the truth about there being another man.

My wife is normally a very honest person, and I think she is being honest about most of the things going on right now. But the cheating thing, I really believe she would try to keep that secret. She just has too much pride to let other people, especially maybe some day her kids or her parents, know she cheated. Plus then maybe people would think: see you cant blame it all on Patton, she had an affair.

The truth is, id rather know. It sounds crazy as it will hurt me so bad; but it will end so many questions in my head, and I dont want to go through life always wondering.
