Saw my ex this weekend

We haven't talked in almost 3 months. He said he misses me. We talked a little. He texted me later that he was glad we talked and he hoped to see me the next day. Well,I did....and it was a little awkward so I left. I wrote him a short 1 page letter (I know thats not what guys like) about why I broke up with him, (he lives with his ex and her husband & kids and is a little too close, emotionaly to her for my comfort). Well he just left a message on my voice mail telling me he loves me and my kids and thinks of us all the time. But he still stands firm that "his friends are just his friends". He is never specific, I was only talking about his ex, Kari. At least he knows that their relationship is my problem. He lives 100 miles away so I'm just going to keep living my life here.

O.K., I've been confused every since his message. He loves us, thinks of us minutely, and we are the most important people in his life. So I texted him today, telling him that I am confused by his message and if we are letting go and moving on or is there hope for are future.

Then nothing. No reply. How could someone say those things and then nothing? What is wrong with him?

O.K., now I know where we stand but he should not of called me and left that message or tell me he misses us. Why didn't he just leave it alone?

No, I can tell he doesn't want me back....It was just cruel of him to tell me those things.

I'm just wondering how her husband likes him livign there with them - he being her X and all. That sounds pretty strange to me.
Also if you live 100 miles away and if he comes home, why would he keep in contact with her - doesn't seem right, especially if he wants to make it work with you.

You have to follow your heart and decide what's good for you and your kids. If he can't give her up for you than I think that says a lot. Be strong and stand your ground. You will meet someone who wants you and only you in their life - not all their extra baggage too.
