My heart is breaking tonight with the news of loss of a dear friend of mine.
He lost his life in combat. One brighter star is now in the sky..
His wife is a close friend of mine. I met them while I was married to my ex husband and we lived on a military installation. They were part of our family. Birthday celebrations, evenings out, dinners together, we would help each other out with our children, everything.
Im so saddened by this loss, words cant describe.
I think about the kind of marriage they had, what a stand up guy he was. His wife was there for me the day I uncovered my now ex husbands infidelities. She let me cry my eyes out at their home, he came in check on me, talk to me, etc. I remember him being so angry at my ex. He was just that guy...he stood for everything just and right in this world.
Sadly, he has been there forever and was due to come home in a few weeks. They have 2 small children...my heart aches for them.

This incident resurfaces a lot of past memories for me. My ex husband was wounded in combat a few years ago.... I remember that phone call and all of those feelings of fear. Obviously my exs injuries were not nearly as extensive as these...I can just empathize with part of what my friend has experienced.... Im just so so sad for her..

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus). I read this as one of the signs of an allergy. BUT I did just buy a different brand diaper yesterday (which they have used randomly before w/no issues). Do you think its the cereal or the diaper?
