I minimalized a great deal and I'm happy I did so. I had a garage sale last summer - got a great price on my garage!!!! Anyway, you would not believe how I priced my stuff. I was more interested in getting rid of stuff than having it around, or making money so I was selling things for 5 cents, 10 cents, etc. Getting rid of clutter helps free the mind.

Donate it to goodwill.

That's what I did - Goodwill.

At first I was throwing stuff away......bye bye wedding dress..... but then I realized I could get tax credit for my donations.

I'm am working on what use to be our bedroom now. So much stuff!!!! Can't open a box without something slamming my heart up against the wall. But three years later, I can decide to keep things for sentimental reasons or simply throw them out.

I did find our secret "fun bag".......... not sure if Goodwill accepts those kinda gifts. I kept it, never know when Hot Mama may need those goodies again!

I'm slowly carving out a new me. Been throwing stuff away, giving stuff away. Changing all I can about my surroundings. It's slow but rewarding. Good luck!!

So now I am painting the rooms bright vivid colors. I even had Lowe's create some colors for me.

In a few weeks when my STBX comes for all his furniture, all the clutter in my house will be gone..It will be pretty damn empty in here to be honest. I will have a couch, a bed and a dining table and that is it.

I did go out and buy my son a bedroom set, so his room will not be bare like the rest of the house.

im way too much of a slob to have white stuff. I do have a white duvet, combining that with my propensity for spillage, and a dog, well, lets say I keep clorox in business and my room ALWAYS smells like bleach.
