Breakups & Divorce Support Group
Just broke up with someone or in the midst of a difficult divorce? Breaking up is difficult no matter what the circumstances are. They say that time heals all wounds, but sometimes a listening ear or a hug can work wonders for the heart. Whether you need a place to vent, someone to hold you to No Contact, or need advice about what to do, we're here to help.
If you really are finished with him, you wouldn't want the contacts nor care if he sees you looking so slim or good. You'd want him out of your life. You already got your things back. You have to decide what you truthfully want. If you want him back--go for him, but know that if things go bad again, you can blame him the first time, but you blame you the second time for going back because you had your eyes wide open.
If it were me, I would finally end all contact with him and not reply any more and block him. You want a better man for your future, and it would be best to leave him in your past. Take care and many hugs.
As long as you aren't attached to it meaning anything, or nothing... it doesn't really matter.
How is your dating going by the way?Is it helping, or making it worse?
But you have now said you want to be friendly and cordial with him so you're obviously good with all this contact and texting. That's great that's you've moved past all of the prior relationship and I'm happy for you.
So you really don't have to post so much about him contacting you because you two are just being friends. But maybe you could post more about dating to help some of the ones here that are struggling to get out and get into dating. You've progressed so far and could really make a difference for them.
I'm very proud of you that you can go from a romantic relationship to a friendship. It takes two very adult people to do it, and make it work. Being friends with an ex takes a lot of stress off in running into each other at places. It really is so positive. The best of luck.
His feelings at this point are irrelevant. He can feel whatever he wants, and she can act or not act on them as she wants. I think she's far enough away from her attachment that if she decides to go back at this, she knows precisely what she's getting into.
I'm not certain he's being malicious or devious, more that he may be wondering if she's doing okay, and as I said before, wanting a small piece of what he relinquished.
I had dated someone where she, or I, would send a text message every so often when we came across something that would remind us of one another. Most times, it would be a pic of a sunrise/sunset.
I didn't think she was texting because of any other reason than just that. and it was nice.
but that's all it was
and maybe all it is here.
