I need some words of encouragement today.

I am VERY sad and anxious. This is day 2 of my wifes business trip with her boyfriend in Ohio, and I am suffering greatly.

Add to that the fact that we are not really talking anymore except about the kids, and I am starting to have to really deal with the loss of her in my life. Its all coming crashing in this week.

I have to make it through the day without calling her, or emailing her and saying things I will later regret.

Hang on, stay here, or find something else to do. There's no easy way to get through days like today. But they will pass--and you will get stronger.

You will make it! It now has been 5 weeks for me and I'm still hurting but it does get better. We still talk which I am learning is not good for me because he's been real nice lately so I keep thinking there's hope, but in my heart I know there isn't. We don't even talk much about the kids. You will make it. It just takes time.

It is so hard to go thru times like this without oicking up that phone and dialing her number. But try to stay strong and refrain from doing that. Divroce and infedilty will be the hardest thing you will have to face in this life time. Seek all the help and support you can get. Vent as much as you want. My heart goes out to you my friend

It's always so hard to accept that there is nothing for us down that path. Stay strong! Good for you for asking for support when you feel drawn to do a thing that you know will be of no help to you in the long run.

She will get anxious too and wonder why you havnt called her. Let her call you! She will, trust me. Just act like you dont care, reverse phsycology it works, and gives your ego a boost to boot. Hang in there, go to the park with the kids and lay down on the grass and watch the clouds go by and see what you can make of them. Its the best therapy ever, try it! Dont do anything stupid like give her the satisfaction of being out of her life forever. You wont be cause the kids will keep you tied always! Be good to yourself and your kids!

I know what you are going through Patton... I was insane when my wife had a date over to the house until 3am. I stayed over at her sisters house that night, as I did not want to be in any proximity to it. Saving grace, she felt guilty, and still does. AND the pictures of when we were on vacation were on the mantle... he noticed, and so did I the next day. Hang in.

Yea, it's a whole new way of dealing with her, but you have to get tough with yourself. The WORST part is saying stuff you wish you could take back. So best policy (and you already hit it) is to communicate only when you really need to.

Of course, you can look on the bright side. She's on a trip in Ohio? Some would consider that to be cruel and unusual punishment.

Oh yes, and it's VITAL that you keep a sense of humor. I'm still hoping to get one myself.
