It's been two months since the day my world crumbled from the announcement of divorce and the terms and grounds as well as the no contact rule that ensued. Looking back, I did believe that things were going very badly for me. I was so scared and disoriented when I translated in google the german version of the divorce petition. I was literally on my knees. It took two months of research of german divorce law and reaching out to people including seeing a therapist and joining this support group in order for me to stand up again although I still fall down occasionally. Last night, I read the divorce papers again and I did not get scared or disoriented anymore. I feel much safer and at peace now. As a reminder for me whenever I feel down, I put a quote at my workplace, it says, "Fall down seven times, stand up eight."
