We don't have lawyers - it's all pretty amicable (so far). We are using a paralegal office to do our paperwork. In my state (Arizona) there is a parent class required for any parent of a minor child. My paralegal told me that since I am getting sole custody, that my spouse was not required to take the class. I'm finding out differently - apparently EVERY parent has to take this class regardless of custody. That is actually a good thing - in my opinion - I think it will be good for him. My question is - since my STBX does not live in the same county as us anymore, can he take a parenting class in another county or does he have to travel back to the county of filing to take this class? Does anyone know?
I can call the clerk's office on Monday but I'm want to warn him about this as he will need to arrange it fairly quickly - within the next 2 weeks.

I'm guessing in AZ it's the same. He probably can take it in his county. Give him the heads up anyway, and he can look into it himself.
